    English Teaching in Japan

English teachers in Japan can take advantage of the demand for English teacher jobs. There are many websites now that feature English teacher jobs in Japan because of this.

    Why demand is high

Demand for English teachers in Japan is high because Japanese students, sadly, are not trained in regular Japanese schools to be very proficient in English. If they are taught English at all, the quality of education in English leaves much to be desired. This is why Japanese individuals of varying ages are always looking for English teachers in Japan who can train them to be proficient in English. Some English teacher jobs are at regular Japanese schools that want their students to be good at English.

Requirements of English teachers in Japan

A person who wants to become an English teacher in Japan may have to learn a bit of Japanese as well. This would help that person communicate English language concepts to his or her students better. However, if you do not know Japanese, all is not lost because there are still openings for people who are only skilled in English. Such people would be helping Japanese students who already have a level of proficiency in English but want to get better at it.

You have to be careful, though, about where you choose to teach, as an English teacher in Japan. Some language schools have been reprimanded and even suspended because they do not legitimately teach their Japanese students and even engage in illegal activities just so their students can pass the course.

It might be best if you signed up with a language school that has a very good reputation in the international language teaching community. Generally, schools that are affiliated with other language schools in the world have such a reputation so you could apply with them.

You might also be able to get a position as a private tutor for Japanese children, particularly those who are of elementary school age. Private tutors have an advantage in that your employer might even permit you to get board and lodging privileges. This is a nice job for people who like children as a rule.

If you know your way around Japan, and the Japanese language as well, you could take the greater risk of being a freelance English language teacher. This gives you the advantage of taking on more contracts than an employee position would allow. You could freelance part-time or full-time, as you choose. However, be careful that you don’t get into trouble by heading for risky areas of Japan. Not all Japanese are nice people.

To lower the level of risk and increase your comfort level, you can look through online sites devoted to English teaching in Japan to get to know the ins and outs of the business before you submit your application and resume.

English teacher jobs in Japan offer prestige and an opportunity to see the country up close. Just be sure you are aware of what the job entails so you avoid potential pitfalls.

    Greatest Quotes of the Day

They must often change, who would be constant in happiness or wisdom.
    ~ Confucius

If you resist reading what you disagree with, how will you ever acquire deeper insights into what you believe? The things most worth reading are precisely those that challenge our convictions.
    ~ Author Unknown

It is only when we silent the blaring sounds of our daily existence that we can finally hear the whispers of truth that life reveals to us, as it stands knocking on the doorsteps of our hearts.
    ~ K.T. Jong

Man stands in his own shadow and wonders why it's dark.
    ~ Zen Proverb

Life is a process of becoming, a combination of states we have to go through. Where people fail is that they wish to elect a state and remain in it. This is a kind of death.
    ~ Anaïs Nin

    Thoughts Alternatives

Are you constantly feeling alone and empty inside? Are you often seeking to get love, attention, approval, compassion and connection with others? You might be love-addicted .

Imagine that you have a little child - a son or daughter, but that you are only 15 years old. How are you going to feel about this child? There is a good possibility that you will feel that this child is a burden, limiting your freedom. You will likely feel that the child is too demanding, needing too much from you. You may want to go out and have fun and not be tied down to this child.

Is this how you feel about your own inner child - your own feelings and needs? Does it feel burdensome to take loving care of yourself? Do you feel like your own feelings and needs are just too much to have to take care of? Do you feel like taking care of yourself is just hard? Do you believe it is selfish to take loving care of yourself? Do you wish someone else would come along and meet your emotional needs to feel loved, valued, and worthy?

If this is how you feel, it is because you have not yet done the inner work of developing a loving adult part of you - a part of you that is connected with a spiritual source of love, wisdom, strength, guidance and comfort. It is your adolescent self who is charge, and this part of you not only does not want the job of taking care of you, it is not adequate to handle the job.

This is what creates love addiction.

You have a little child inside you - your feeling self - who need lots of love, attention, comfort, valuing, validating, connection and compassion. When you have no desire to give this to yourself because you feel it is too hard, you feel too inadequate, you think it is selfish, or you believe that it is someone else's job to meet these needs, then you are abandoning yourself. If you believe that your best feelings come from someone else loving you instead of you loving you, then you are abandoning yourself. And when you abandon yourself, that little child in you is left to get the love he or she needs elsewhere.

When you abandon yourself because you have not learned how to take loving care of yourself or because you don't want the responsibility of your own feelings and needs, that is when you become needy of others love and attention. You learn many ways of trying to get the love, attention and compassion you need.

Think for a moment about what you do to get love, connection, attention, approval or compassion from others.

Do you try to be perfect - looking right, saying the right thing, being a high achiever? Do you try to be cute or funny? Do you try to show others how smart you are? Do you strive to have the best - the best house, the best car, the best wife or husband, the best children, the best clothing? Or, do you act helpless, incompetent, in need of rescuing? Do you pull on others with your complaining, your incessant talking, your whining, sulking, silence, or your bragging? Are you overly nice, a people-pleaser? Do you attempt to get the attention you want through intimidation - with anger, threats, blame, or violence?

When you have abandoned yourself and are love-addicted, you will have developed many ways of trying to have control over getting the love you need. That little child in you is desperate to be loved. The emptiness of the self-abandonment and the resulting longing for love leads you to behave in the very ways that end up pushing others away. It is a losing battle. IT WILL NEVER WORK. You will never get the love you need by trying to get others to give to you what only you can give to yourself.

    LIFE AFTER DEATH

Life after death: Hindu - Hinduism Dictionary on Reincarnation

reincarnation: "Re-entering the flesh." Punarjanma; metempsychosis. The process wherein souls take on a physical body through the birth process.

Reincarnation is one of the fundamental principles of Hindu spiritual insight, shared by the mystical schools of nearly all religions, including Jainism, Sikhism, Buddhism (and even by Christianity until it was cast out by the Nicene Council in 787). It is against the backdrop of this principle of the soul's enjoying many lives that other aspects of Hinduism can be understood. It is a repetitive cycle, known as punarjanma, which originates in the subtle plane (Antarloka), the realm in which souls live between births and return to after death. Here they are assisted in readjusting to the "in-between" world and eventually prepared for yet another birth.

The quality and nature of the birth depends on the merit or demerit of their past actions (karma) and on the needs of their unique pattern of development and experience (dharma). The mother, the father and the soul together create a new body for the soul. At the moment of conception, the soul connects with and is irrevocably bound to the embryo. As soon as the egg is fertilized, the process of human life begins. It is during the mid-term of pregnancy that the full humanness of the fetus is achieved and the soul fully inhabits the new body, a stage which is acknowledged when the child begins to move and kick within the mother's womb. (Tirumantiram, 460: "There in the pregnant womb, the soul lay in primordial quiescence [turiya] state. From that state, Maya [or Prakriti] and Her tribe aroused it and conferred consciousness and maya's evolutes eight- desires and the rest. Thus say scriptures holy and true.")

Finally, at birth the soul emerges into earth consciousness, veiled of all memory of past lives and the inner worlds. The cycle of reincarnation ends when karma has been resolved and the Self God (Parasiva) has been realized. This condition of release is called moksha. Then the soul continues to evolve and mature, but without the need to return to physical existence. How many earthly births must one have to attain the unattainable? Many thousands to be sure, hastened by righteous living, tapas, austerities on all levels, penance and good deeds in abundance.

Believing is not Enough: You need to know

In India there is a long tradition and many generations of so-called gurus. The word guru seems to have been adopted everywhere. Today we have "marketing", "network", "web" and all other sorts of "gurus". What about "spiritual gurus"? Are they relevant?

Old Hindu text Advayataraka Upanishad (14Ð18), defines Guru as "dispeller (gu) of darkness (ru)". It is widely accepted for centuries that Guru means one who "gives light" or "leads to light" by eradicating the darkness of ignorance.

In principle, everyone, at nearly any stage of his/her development, needs a teacher. However, a good (non-misleading) teacher who doesn't limit the learning potential of his/her students can be quite difficult to find.

In brief, the most serious problems with so-called "gurus" can be expressed as follows:

    1. Gurus are supposed to "show us the way to The Light". However, for at least several hundred years no guru seemed to be able to reach it. No guru today seems to speak from his/her own experience of being accepted and admitted by The Light. Can you guess what is the most likely outcome if "a blind person leads another blind person" ?

    2. When explicitly asked about The Light, many gurus quote the statement of one of their ancestors:

"before enlightenment: chop the wood and carry water,

after enlightenment:    chop the wood and carry water."

By repeating and promoting such arrogant and ignorant statements about The Light gurus totally DEGRADE the process of Enlightenment. Isn't it obvious that statements like the one above imply that there is no point whatsoever in seeking Enlightenment and The Light? By discouraging individuals from seeking The Light "gurus" in fact reinforce darkness and ignorance by keeping people confused and misinformed for centuries, if not for millenia.

The motive for promoting "chopping wood" statements seems simple to notice: can you imagine what would happen if correctly instructed and inspired people begun to reach and communicate with The Light before their gurus do? Precisely the same motive is a basis for creating/reinforcing every belief system and religion on Earth without exception... Amazingly, this tradition continues... Can you guess WHY?

The Light is no less than the essence of the Universe, simply because it is a source and a carrier of all imaginable information. Hence, whoever chooses to disregard The Light - is bound to miss everything...

A genuine Conscious contact with The Light actually changes our lives irreversibly, simply because Understanding cannot be "undone". Enlightened person may seem to chop wood and carry water as everyone else, but he/she does it for very different reasons... Unfortunately no one can stop narrow-minded people who never reached The Light from making misleading statements about Enlightenment...

    3. Virtually all gurus demand and expect a total "surrender" from their followers. As a brutal violation of The Freedom of Choice and The Freedom of Thought, such a demand is an act against development of Consciousness and The Purpose of the Universe.

Self Healing The Joy Of Perfect Health

    Self healing

No doctor, no drug, no object has ever truly HEALED anyone. They can only assist if they act in harmony with the Laws of Nature.

Our mind body system is designed to HEAL ITSELF. All we need to do is to REMOVE OBSTACLES from the body and from the mind. This can be accomplished with or without the help of others.

If you cut your finger with a sharp object, the wound HEALS ITSELF and if the damage is not extensive, the repair job is SO perfect, that after a few weeks you cannot even remember which finger was hurt. Even the fingerprints are reconstructed.

Of course self-healing is not limited to scratches and bruises. Exactly the same self-healing processes occur ALL THE TIME in ALL POSSIBLE organs of the body.

Even if we abuse our body, it tries to heal itself, unless the damage is extensive and we continue doing mistakes for years. Severe illnesses are largely result of our complete ignorance on both: the physical level (diet, poisoning, lifestyle) as well as on the mental level (bad mental hygiene and discipline, wrong understanding of purpose of life). Pain and suffering are just signals to our conscious mind that we have to CHANGE our ways. When we do, in the right direction, we "miraculously" recover. When we follow the flock, and resist Nature, we suffer. This is the law of Nature.

The mind-body system has almost unlimited self repair capabilities, but most of people deny themselves any access to them.

The biggest mistake you can make is to ACCEPT someone's "advice" that your condition is incurable. If you accept such an advice, your fear effectively SABOTAGES the self-healing process, which is under complete control of your consciousness on all levels, including the subconscious functioning of your body and mind. Fear blocks any logic, dramatically reducing your own self healing ability.

There is NOTHING in the Universe to be afraid of, except our own ignorance and its consequences. Unfortunately most people doubt everyone and everything, except their own ignorance.

The idea of "incurable" or "chronic" condition comes simply from limited understanding of healing processes and/or arrogant attitude of people who claim to be "health" authorities but have never seen a true recovery.

Note, that people (and industries) who give "health advice" usually benefit from the fact that we are sick, and if we were healthy they would go BROKE

    Spiritual teachers

How to choose your spiritual teacher? You can save a lot of your time and effort when you learn to see Auras and use your Auric sight skills to determine who should be your spiritual guide, guru, teacher or living example. To avoid misinformation, you should only follow the advice of people with a clearly defined yellow-golden Aura halo around their heads. And even then, make sure that you exercise your FREE WILL. The better the teacher the more he/she will respect the individual free will.

Sincere teachers should be aware of their Auras. They should create the right conditions for others to see and admire their Auras by exposing their head and appearing in front of a softly illuminated plain white background.

If your potential spiritual teacher does not have a yellow halo around his/her head, you are much better to advance spiritually on your own. Great teachers such as Moses, Buddha and Christ had Auras around their heads extending to their shoulders. Today it is rare to find a teacher with more than an 1 inch yellow halo around the head.

Joining a sect or a religion that is led by incompetent people without good Auras is very dangerous, not only for your physical existence here on Earth, but most of all for your consciousness. When the time comes to really use the information stored in your consciousness from this lifetime, there may be almost nothing useful there, because performing rituals and following the flock does not contribute anything to our consciousness. In such a case it will be necessary to re-learn everything from the beginning. Unfortunately, most sect, religious leaders and so-called "masters" have only two things in mind: money and power to control people. And you can usually see it in their Aura for yourself. The more "supreme" such "master" wants to appear, the more evident is his/her spiritual ignorance. Every true Master in the past repeated many times: "anyone can do what I do, even better".

Observing Auras of spiritual teachers is one of the best methods I am aware of to verify how sincere and competent they are. And you have to continue checking their Auras regularly. Why? So many times "gurus" or talented teachers on Earth, after achieving considerable progress in their spiritual awareness, choose to indulge themselves with control of large flocks of followers, making money, etc. and forget to continue their own spiritual development. And you can SEE it in their Auras. If this is what you see, it is a time for you to change your teacher.

In my experience, the further we go with our spiritual awareness, the more difficult is to maintain enough self-discipline to continue the progress.

Most spiritually advanced people, whether surrounded by followers or not, face such a challenge continuously. That is why some of them become ascetics or live alone in remote areas - to remove obstacles and temptations of so-called "civilization" and concentrate on discovering and improving their True Nature Within, the most beautiful place to be in the Universe.

Other important attributes of a good spiritual teacher, apart from his/her apparent wisdom should be the perfect health and a young appearance for his/her age. This is because a genuine access to the Higher Self can heal most diseases and even partially rejuvenate the body. Spiritual teachers should teach meditation, concentration and promote individual self development, rather than performing rituals and cultivating habits.

    Elements of Life

    Definition of the Eight Elements

This step focuses on the 8 life elements that can interfere with creating the life we want. I believe that with enough of the following elements to satisfy our needs and wants, nothing would stop us from reaching our fullest potential, so creating reserves of the following elements is critical to the process.
    1. Time
When we have all the time we need and want, we are calm and focused. In addition to having the time to accomplish what we want, this element also includes time for ourselves.
    2. Space
Space includes not only the state of our home or other environments, but also the invisible zone that surrounds our body. This zone typically expands or contracts depending on where we are and how comfortable we feel.
    3. Love
Having all the love we need or want involves feeling wanted, loved and included. We can be loved by one person or a community. This includes romantic love, spiritual love and all other forms of affection and companionship.
    4. Money
Money includes money (incoming and invested) and the things that money represents and supplies. This includes security, stability, houses, cars and all the other stuff we buy with it. In addition, it includes our relationship with money. While true for all the elements, the idea of deserving (or not deserving) comes up most frequently around love and money.
    5. Vitality
Vitality encompasses health, energy and a zest for life. It is not just lack of illness or lack of stress. There is also dynamic appreciation and enjoyment of life that pervades everything we do.
    6. Purposeful Action
Purposeful action is just that: somewhere in our lives there is enough focused activity that gives us a sense of satisfaction and accomplishment, a sense of a job well done. It can be expressed in our careers, our families, or our communities; it can be creative, practical, or political; it can be paid or volunteered. The possibilities are endless, but it must be present in some form.
    7. Strong Sense of Self
It is important to take the time to identify your core values, unmet needs, standards, boundaries, life purpose, mission and beliefs, both supportive and non-supportive. As you get clearer about 'who' you are, you awaken to your possibilities. Living 'in' integrity for me means my actions match my words which match my beliefs. I feel that living in integrity is like getting rid of the bumps and holes in the surface of the road. There is still a path to travel, but the ride is smooth and enjoyable.
    8. Positive Self Regard
This is a combination of self-esteem, self-love, and self-care. Without a positive, balanced and healthy self-regard, it appears to be impossible to maximize the opportunities available when reserves of the other 7 elements are present

So as you can see, numerology can be as complex as the human
personality itself and it takes a number of calculations to
paint an entire portrait of  a human's psyche. In fact one
could say that there are about as many numerological
combinations in this type of divination as there are human
individuals so it is very, very rare that two complete
    numerological charts are the same

    Are You Happy???

    QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS:

Q: Why do bad things always seem to happen to me? How can I be happy when my life is just one bad experience after another?  - Janet, Elgin, IL

A: Believe it or not, happiness is not contingent upon the number of bad events or failures that someone has experienced in their life. Happiness depends upon how an individual processes the experiences in their life. Happy people learn from life and always look for the lessons that life is trying to teach them. Unhappy people feel that life is out of their control and that they are victims of their circumstance.

Decide that you will not be a victim of life. Instead, figure out what you need to learn and get busy learning it! Your happiness depends on it!

    HAPPINESS TIP OF THE WEEK:

    Focus on the Positive!

Individuals who focus on the negative events in their lives are 70% less likely to feel content than individuals who do not.

You have many wonderful parts of your life. Train your mind and your thoughts to focus on your blessings instead of your setbacks and disappointments. Your life will be undoubtedly happier

    Palmistry

Your Life is in Your Hands
    by May Ann Abe

When people say "your life is in your hands", most would agree with this figuratively, but I’m a palmist and for me this phrase also has a very literal meaning. When I look into and touch your hands, I see the essence of yourself and your life as you have caused it to be painted on your palms by your thoughts, words, and deeds. And it is so valuable a thing to be able to understand yourself that I’d like to introduce you to some of the keys to reading your own life in your hands.
Many years ago, when I first heard the words Palm Reader, little did I know that I would become one myself. Indeed, what first came to mind was an image that many have; a small very old gypsy woman inside a tent, enveloped in shawls and jewelry, siting at a table dimly-lit with candles. She would be ready to reveal the secrets of your future in exchange for a piece of gold. And outside would be dark gypsy men playing their violins around a campfire as a vibrant beauty danced. I believe that this was really a part of the romantic and mysterious history of palmistry during the time when palm reading was prohibited for hundreds of years, so that only those “beyond the law” were able to practice it openly. But during the last century, science was brought into the study of palmistry, as it was in all phases of our lives, and the study once again began to be seen to have validity and many books were published.
Today a visit to a palmist will most likely be arranged over the phone or in person, and will be done in a very well-lighted room, often in your own home. It will be much like a session with any other advisor or counselor, lasting half an hour or longer. The reading will delve into any of the areas of concern you may have, and will reveal your personality, behaviors, thinking, and interests in life. As with any other counselor, this will be a visit to discuss change and to get an additional perspective so that the client will be able to make productive decisions for themselves.
Whereas the physical setting has changed a great deal, the techniques for reading the hands have changed little over thousands of years. There are three prime methods of gaining information:

    1) With scientific techniques which have been proven to work through countless actual cases, identifying the lines, shapes, patterns and textures of the hand

    2) Using intuition to pick up sense perceptions clairvoyantly or psychometrically by touching the hands

    3) Using a combination of both. Each has its merits and will give you a great deal of information about yourself

The method used really depends on which one is preferred by the reader.
When I began to learn palmistry, I started with books. I read and memorized the most common patterns, then I practiced by giving readings, always questioning them to determine if what I had studied was valid. With repeated practice with individuals, I was able to identify uniquenesses, and thus learn the finer points and the less common combinations. I found the research that has been done for thousands of years by students of palmistry, does reveal a great deal of information about the inner and outer workings of a person. In addition, with practice, I also developed trust in my own intuitive perceptions. This didn’t happen magically or automatically, but perception is something that I believe anyone can build. I built it through desire, through my continued studies in mind at the School of Metaphysics, and through lots of practice. I prefer to use a combination of reading of lines and intuition because it allows me to give a whole interpretation. This is the art of palmistry, to be able to take information and offer it in an applicable form to a person’s life for the betterment of themselves. It is very rewarding to both the client and the palm reader.
I see both palmistry and life as a wonderful learning experience. Both are opportunities to gain information, then to put those ideas into practice to test for yourself that it is truth for you. This does require an open mind for you to be willing to accept new ideas and give them a try. Any information that you receive in this jam-packed “information age” that we are living in today needs to be taken in with discrimination and tested by you according to your own needs, desires, and purposes. Then you have the opportunity to respond to it freely. A palm reader is one avenue to acquire information about yourself that you desire to know, and he or she will present the truth as they see it. But in the final analysis the benefit of the reading depends as much on the person having the reading done as it does on the reader. And equally it depends as much on the learner as on the teacher. This personal responsibility for your learning is wonderful, because it allows you to be in control. As I mentioned it does take an open mind, and unfortunately the lack of it may be one’s downfall.
I recall an especially memorable example of this. A few years ago a woman came to me asking me to read her palm. I noticed right away that she had a disease much like elephantitis. Her face and body were covered with obvious red lumps, some as large as quarters. As I read her hands, I could see from the bulbous, red thumb that she was holding in a dangerous amount of anger and was likely to express it violently, so I advised her that she needed to bring it out step-by-step with control. She denied that she was angry at all. From her very short and wide fingernails I could see that she was extremely argumentative. I told her that it was important that she build her self-esteem and learn to love her form of expression. Becoming more receptive and willing to listen to herself and others would be a first step. She denied this, too. In fact, for the whole time that I spoke with her, she denied everything I said, and then she left. The reading hadn’t been of much benefit to her, and she chose it that way. But the very parts of herself that she most needed to know and to express were not admitted to or even looked at, so that there was no way that she was willing to change even though I perceived that she was desperately lonely and in great mental and emotional pain. Rather than try something different she continued to fight herself and her own desires.
Not all of the readings I do are so dramatic, but they all offer much awareness to aid individuals to understand themselves, and sometimes their relationships, too. In fact, couples often ask for a compatibility reading, which involves comparing the hands of both then making an interpretation of how they might use their relationship and build strength in it. I remember a particular friend’s Italian birthday party at which I’d been invited to do readings. There were many people there and the spirit was festive. I read many couples’ hands that night, but two particular couples stand out in my mind.
The first was a young, unmarried couple. With only a glance at their hands, I could tell that they were quite different, especially in their communication styles. She loved to talk and, as he added, sometimes let her mouth run away with her. She had again the short, wide fingernails, but also with a separated head line. I advised her that she needed to think about what she was going to say and the effect of her words before speaking. On the other hand, he was very much the strong-but-silent type with a big hand with few lines and reddish in color. He would hold in his thoughts and then, he admitted, would sometimes let his fists do the talking. I let them know that if they married this could be a serious problem for them, unless they became aware of the need to adjust and balance their communication style; he being more open and patient and she being willing to listen and give thoughtful feedback to him, rather than just talking more. They thanked me heartily.
The second couple was very much the opposite. They were in their 40’s and had just gotten married. Their hands were almost exactly the same in the lines and markings, although his were larger. When I told them how similar they were, they agreed and said that it was wonderful to be so much alike. It was what they had dreamed of, each having had difficult relationships and little in common with their first spouses. But I couldn’t leave it at this. I offered that they each had a need to develop themselves individually with unique interests so they would have something to offer each other for years to come, rather than simply becoming secure, but predictable, in their growth and their relationship. I wished them well as they left and knew that they, as we all do, had the free will to use, or not to use, the information I had given them.
So, now you must be wondering if I’m going to give you anything to use so that you can begin to know yourself better. As this is a short article and there are thousands of different lines, markings, shapes, and combinations I’ll provide some of the basics.
As you begin in palmistry, you need to know that each hand provides certain information because there are thousands of nerve endings in our hands. These are the conveyors of our sense perceptions picked up from the outer world and taken to the brain to be used by the mind. Conversely, the mind, through the brain, sends messages outward, and many of these show up in the outermost part of the body -- the hands, one of our most important body parts for use in interacting in the physical. These thoughts are printed by us in our hands. The major hand, the one you use most, shows the present and possible future, as set into motion by you at this time. This is the hand that you can watch for gauging changes and your progress, for it will change. The minor hand shows influences from the past, potentials, parental influences, even attitudes from past lives, if you believe in these. Some say that it’s what you come into this lifetime to work with. Your hands may be similar or quite distinct, according to how you’ve done things differently from or similar to the past. I recommend that a beginner use primarily the major hand.
Most people think that palmistry consists of reading only the lines, but a truly complete reading will involve examining and relating the fingers, fingerprints, ridge patterns, lines, colors, skin types, mounts, and markings. We’ll begin with the lines here, as these are most easily identified.

    The Lines
In general, the lines are symbolic of the three basic parts of a person’s nature: the mental, the emotional, and the physical. Lines that are unbroken, or solid and clear show the most positive use of energy indicated by that line. A hand with numerous fine lines shows a nervous type, with a need to relax, while a hand with few lines indicates a person who is easygoing and likes their life clear and simple.
The Heart Line is the horizontal line closest to the fingers at the top of the palm. It reveals your emotional nature and the conditions of the heart. A line that is strongly curved under the first or second finger (A) shows an emotional, romantic, affectionate person who expresses emotions openly and who likes to take the lead in his or her romances. These people fall in and out of love fairly quickly. The straight heart line (B) shoes one who is quieter emotionally, less demonstrative, thoughtful, is receptive in love, is independent, and may move in and out of love much more slowly and with more difficulty. A forked heart line (C) shows both natures and the person will be pretty well balanced emotionally.
The Head Line, running horizontally below the heart line, shows how a person thinks and uses the mind. The clearer the line, the clearer the thinking is. A wavy head line (D) shows indecision or changes in the direction of the thinking. A straight head line (E) is the mark of a practical, analytical mind with clear thinking. A curved head line (F) shows a creative bent to the thinking, one who likes to try out new ideas, and may indicate use of imagination. A fork at the end of the head line (G) shows diversity in the thinking and interest, and is sometimes seen as the Writer’s Fork, indicating the ability to write. If the head line is connected to the life line above the thumb (H) the person has a cautious nature and may be slow to commit. The head line separated from the life line (I) shows a person who is independent, thinks for themselves, and makes up their mind quickly. The wider the separation, the greater is the impulsive nature and may indicate recklessness in the thinking and, therefore, in the action, since our actions follow our thoughts.
The Life Line runs downward curving around the base of the thumb. It shows the life energy, strength, and vitality of the individual. Let me tell you that a short life line (J) doesn’t necessarily mean that the life will be short, but it may show that the person has stopped short in his or her life by not making life purposeful and fulfilling. The person with this line will need to determine where they want to be going in life and especially why. The long life line (K) , one which may even curve around the base of the thumb, will show a person with much physical vitality and one who has a clear picture of what they want throughout the life. It is up to each one of us to take the responsibility to live fully and in the ways we desire mentally, emotionally, physically and Spiritually. Breaks (L) in the life line indicate changes that have broken the flow of your energy. Changes may need to be made more smoothly and cooperatively by you. And a chained life line, which literally looks like a chain, indicates delicate health. More attention needs to be directed to creating a healthy condition.
Other lines include the Fate Line running upward from the base of the hand which shows to what degree one has caused themselves to follow a certain path in life and has to do with motivation. A solid line running almost up to the fingers (M) shows a path set by you that you follow with few changes. A short fate line (N), or one that is absent, is the mark of the person who has not yet determined a course of action or a direction in life, so it is unpredictable and may be full of changes. The Union Lines (O) are short lines at the side of the hand under the little finger which run horizontally, and are ones most people want to know about. They show the course of strong loves in your life, the ones that often lead to marriage. In general, the clearer and longer the line, the deeper and happier is the relationship in your own thinking, for you must remember the lines reflect what is in your mind for the present and the future, so doubts and fears will be shown as well as desires and actions.
The Health Line (P) runs from the life line to below the little finger. This can be looked at to help you in determining the state of your health along with the markings on the fingernails and other markings on the hand. This is almost a science itself.
The Line of Intuition (Q) curving around the Mount of Luna opposite the life line may or may not be present within the hands. It is a mark of developed intuition, but is certainly not the only indicator of interest in metaphysical development. Others include the Girdle of Venus, the Ring of Solomon, and X’s between the head line and heart line.
A second area of the hand that I consider quite important is the Mounts. These show areas of ability, talent, or potential in your life and to what degree these have been used and developed up to this point in time. When I see very little development in any of the mounts, I strongly advise development in some of the areas because I know that this gives a real sense of satisfaction. This is when the person is building themselves and their identity. And I often get to bring to light possible unknown talents the person has. An overdeveloped or highly raised mount show that the energy in that part of your life needs to be channeled in constructive ways. It may be too much of a good thing and, therefore, be unproductive. These are the major mounts: The Mount of Jupiter shows self-confidence, pride, ambition, leadership, teaching ability, and religious or spiritual qualities. The Teacher’s Square and the Ring of Solomon are found here. The Mount of Saturn shows the studious, philosophic, serious nature. A flat mount here may show a person who is too easygoing and has trouble getting things done. The Mount of Apollo shows the sociable and artistic nature and talents. There is often a vertical line on this mount which shows increased happiness and creativity according to how long it is. The Mount of Mercury has to do with all forms of and abilities in communication, especially in business, medicine, and intimate relationships. Short vertical lines, usually three or more, on this mount indicate interest or ability in helping people heal, which can take many forms. The Mount of Luna shows the imaginative side of the individual, as well as the intuition. The Mount of Venus shows the giving nature and the preferred form of energy used in life, as well as the sexual or emotional styles and needs. A low or flat mount shows a primarily mental approach, a medium-sized mount shows a physical approach, and a high mount shows an emotional approach in these areas of life. Other mounts include the Mount of Mars, the Mount of Pluto, the Mount of Neptune, and the Mount of Sun, and are of lesser importantance unless marked or very obvious.
The quality of the Skin is another tell-tale sign. It shows how you respond to your outer environment and what type of work you may be suited for. Rough-skin shows a person who is suited for outdoor work and can do, and may enjoy, physical work. They do not care much what others think. The medium textured skin shows a person who has a good balance of sensitivity and objectivity in their dealings with others and who is able to do a variety of types of work. The fine or soft skin shows a person who is very sensitive to others, sometimes overly sensitive and easily hurt. They have a gentle nature, tend to be more artistic, and do not like physical work. Skin with hair shows the aggressive nature of an individual.
Fingers generally have to do with the same areas of life as the mounts do, but show the type of person you are, rather than the development of the talents. Knotty Fingers (R) show a person who tends to analyze everything and think it through, to categorize things and be orderly, but Smooth Fingers (S) are found on people who are quick, intuitive, easygoing type thinkers. Short Fingers are indicators of impatient people who like to think and act quickly and who like to make big plans for others to carry out, so these people are often good managers, and if found on a short palmed person, can indicate a person who is quite intuitive. Medium Length Fingers show a balance between thinking and doing, and are indicative of well balanced people who can originate and also carry out tasks. Long Fingers show the person who above all thinks and analyzes, and one who desires order, and often beauty, in all they do.
Each finger indicates a particular area of influence. The First Finger or Jupiter Finger: pride, religion, leadership, ego, security. The Second or Saturn Finger: duty, responsibility, seriousness, limitations. The Ring or Apollo Finger: sociability and the arts. The Little or Mercury Finger: communication on all levels, business, and intelligence. The Thumb: will, the ability to decide, logic, and reasoning.
Have you identified any of your characteristics yet? I hope so and that you are interested enough to get a good palmistry book or go to a good palm reader to learn more about yourself, because this is only the tip of the iceberg to having a complete understanding of yourself. If you do begin to investigate further, this is how I’d recommend you use a reading for the maximum benefit. 1) Identify what now exists from what is shown in your hands. 2) Determine if that is the most productive for you according to your goals and ideals. 3) Look at what you have already built, what is lacking, and your potentials, as seen in the mounts. 4) Take action on your ideals, with purpose. 5) Then watch for signs of progress in your major hand in the form of changes in the lines, mounts, and characteristics. I think you’ll be surprised at what you discover about yourself for it is very satisfying to know that your life is in your hands.

    Piyo Piyo PlayGroup at Ichigao

Being a Mom of 3 kids are such busy as bee.. I found a playgroup near ichigao station few months ago. Its a group of mother and child small children age 0 months-to 6 years of age. My first visit was July 2006 last year. At that time It was a short visit to yokohama,Japan. Then when I cameback last December I decided to visit the place once in a while. My twin girls love the place. There's a lot of books, toys to play and some networking with other Mom's. The staff are very friendly, If you are new to Japan and your Japanese ability is zero average, these mothers over there will not turn you down. They try to understand you at your own language or english. The place open at 10am-3pm. Once a month they do some activity on outdoor park. Once a week they have some reading, and some craft. Its really fun to be with them.
As a asian foreigner, I am helpless to know places like schools for kids, and shopping malls, cheaper place for wet markets and flea market. Well the good things in this place while my kids are socializing other kids I was also studying about Japan culture and healthy lifestyle. One reason is walking, is a good exercise if not raining though. Next japanese cuisine are less oil. Japanese Mom's are very kind and simple.
It's great having those women at piyo piyo. Now my eldest son join some pre school, Aiwa Yochen, which is also by the help of one mother I could find this place. Bigger and more academic place in the heart of Eda cho..
Finally, I could say I'm Happy!
Motherhood is not end at this point still everyday we have to educate our children in some diplomatic way. As children grows they are tend to be curious and naughty. But they are cute. Just we have to be open minded and patient all the time. While they are young their brain can accept anything like language. Let them socialize with Japanese same age and even some fights let them know how to handle self esteem.
Is a good chance, for them to study from mistake they made.
Introduce books, nature and music. So they will feel Love. Most of all playgroup is a good chance for them to be ready for next step of childhood. Soon they will go real pre school. By this they are ready to face the challenge of being a leader and cheerful friendly obedient to teachers.

    Nothing more I could ask.
